I Guess my best moment was treking up Machu Pichu in the afternoon... Although the view was of a huge cloud, it was soooo worth it.  Man, I could do it all over again. Although, I must say, after having lived through this experience, having met all of you has to be the highlight of my trip.  I'm not sure if I shared this with any of you, but I do not believe in coincidences, we were supposed to meet, on this trip at this specific time to share this experience.  We're also not supposed to forget.... Make sense?

I have to agree with Ernesto on this one the hike up to the star gate has to be one of the best moments. If you told anyone that your best moment was a steep hike up a mountain in pouring rain they would think you were crazy. You just had to experience it to believe it.

Also for me , meeting everyone and making a load of new friends has been pretty amazing. Taking the decision to make a trip on my own to do a tour with a bunch of people I didn't know wasn't something I would normally have done. A whole bunch of circumstances and a little convincing by one of my friends that it wasn't selfish to go on the trip of a lifetime by myself meant I got to meet all of you and have the best time ever.

And you are definitely right Ernesto some things are meant to happen.

Thanks everyone

To quote chris  :  " Love you guys !"

..We have well over 1000 pictures from the trip that you're welcome to borrow in case you loose any memories. Granted, the majority are landscapes and more than a few blurry but you're welcome to them Grin

I know that Benny loved the food and is still in awe over how friendly and the welcomeing people (both the group & guides and locals) were! He's also been trying to trick me into thinking that we actually haven't left for Peru yet because he wants to go back Wink  I still can't decide on any specific thing, it was everything together that made the trip wonderful! Each day and each experience had it's own little golden moment although I'm super, SUPER glad to be back at sea level and feeling "normal" (such that it is) again?

Best moment... best moment... let's see... hmph.  I can't get specific because it was amazing from the time we landed in Lima till the time we took off.  Loooooove Pisco Sours!  I gotta say that the treck up to the Sun Gate was breath taking (literally).  I'm not going to lie though, there were a few times I didn't think I was going to make it down due to all the slipping and sliding I was doing.  Sneakers in the mud and rain are definitely not the shoes I would recommend for this.

The night before we left was outstanding.  It was great to have a "non-Disney" adult conversation with the folks that were there.  Don't believe that pineapple nonsense.  It's all in your head... heh.  Sorry, I'll keep it "G" from now on.

My wife and I truly loved meeting everyone on the trip and will remember this vacation as a "calling" that is near and dear to our hearts.

Best moment....  It is difficult for us to choose one specific moment as Marie and Sinuhe said...  Before we get to know everybody, our main purpose was seeing Machu Picchu and it was one of our Main Bucket Lists.  Although we travelled many different places and saw many different and interesting things around the world but we never been to Peru especially Machu Picchu.  However after we meet most of people at the ABD and we are proud and happy to say our best moment was meeting you guys and get know each other.  We wish we had more time and we wish we were little more outgoing and had chance to get to know everybody but we met wonderful and nice people and we are thanks to you all for take us as one of your family members.

Thanks again for everybody and stay in touch.  Love you all...

Dennis and Michael.

P.S: Let us know when you have chance to visit SF area, so we are more than happy to show you around SF Bay Area and let you know how to most of San Franciscan's welcome visitors.

We got home and back to Florida and pandemonium as usual with work, home, kids, dogs, yard, etc. We are just getting our pictures (about 1400 total) sorted out and printed. The whole trip was great and one of the best that we had. It's hard to pick out one particular moment. It was a great feeling to be totally away and not think about home, work, etc. We are thinking about another trip in 2009 or 2010 to South Africa or maybe China.

Our best moment was Machu Picchu but I have to say that the rafting trip with Team Awesome was Awesome!!  We too loved the Pisco Sours!  I guess I often think about the light in the sky.  It was so pure and clear.  Of course I won't even be thinking about how great the trip was if y'all hadn't been so much fun.
